The "Our Scarborough" speakers series take place on the third Thursday of each month between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Each series features 15 minutes of networking, followed by 15 minutes of "highlights" (an item SCRO wants to share/feature with the community), with the main speaker beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Join us for topics each month which feature a focus on Scarborough.
On May 18, 2021, Larry Whatmore, SCRO President spoke with Prime Minister Trudeau, Mayor Tory, Minister McKenna, and the six Scarborough Members of Parliament about transit in Scarborough and the recent announcement of federal funding for the Scarborough subway extension along with the need for future transit upgrades in Scarborough including the Eglinton East LRT project.
