"Our Scarborough" every three weeks on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Scarborough Community Renewal Organization launched a speaker series called "Our Scarborough" on January 21, 2021.
These sessions take place every three weeks on Thursdays between 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Each series features 15 minutes of networking, followed by 15 minutes of "highlights" (an item SCRO wants to share/feature with the community), with the main speaker beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Join us for future topics every other week which feature a focus on Scarborough.
SCRO Advocates for Improved Transit in Scarborough
SCRO President Larry Whatmore speaks with Prime Minister Trudeau about the benefits of improved transit in Scarborough
On May 18, 2021, Larry Whatmore, SCRO President spoke with Prime Minister Trudeau, Mayor Tory, Minister McKenna, and the six Scarborough Members of Parliament about transit in Scarborough and the recent announcement of federal funding for the Scarborough subway extension along with the need for future transit upgrades in Scarborough including the Eglinton East LRT project.
